Thermal throttling during gaming
The Dell G16 runs a discrete GPU alongside a performance CPU in a 16-inch chassis. Sustained gaming and rendering loads heat both chips at once, and thermal paste degrades faster under that duty cycle than it does in a general-purpose laptop. Frame drops partway into a session, fans running at full speed continuously, and the chassis becoming uncomfortably warm are the usual signs. A full thermal service — repasting and clearing the heatsink fins — is the right first step.
