HDMI port damage and no video signal
PS5 HDMI port failure is the single most common repair presentation Brentworth receives for this console. The port can develop bent or broken pins from cable leverage, a fractured connector body from the cable being pulled at an angle, or intermittent contact from repeated plugging cycles. Symptoms range from complete no-signal to intermittent dropouts or visual corruption that varies with cable position. In some cases the port appears physically intact but the Panasonic HDMI encoder chip on the motherboard has failed — producing no signal regardless of cable or TV. Both the port and the encoder chip are assessed as part of any PS5 no-display diagnosis.
